How is it possible to give your client access (and by what means) so that he can easily view the ContextCapture model?
Citation of becadadmin on 3 January 2019, 17 h 08 minBenoit,
There are several possibilities for visualisation or exploitation of the models produced by ContextCapture :
- Deliver to the final client the production done in 3MX format (one 3MX file + the directory and file structure adjacent to it) or 3SM (one file). In parallel to that you can provide him with the viewer ContextCapture which you can download free of charge in the Bentley download area or in the iWare of Bentley (https://store.bentley.com/en/products/iware/1000CCV--ContextCapture-Viewer).
When producing in 3MX, the name is requested. By default ContextCapture proposed « Production 1 », « Production 2 »,... This is the name of the directory in which the data resulting from the modelling will be stored. In this directory « Proxuction x » you will find a directory « Scene ». It is the latter that will contain the file « Production x.3mx » plus files « logo.png », « metadata.xml » and « placeholder.jpg » and the directory « Data ».
- When producing a mesh in 3MX format (it matters), you can also check the box « Web ready ». When the model is generated, some small information is added to a directory « App » located at the same level as the directory « Scene » and the 3MX model (as well as the directory and file structure described above) is ready to be copied to a directory on a web server. There is no default access right management but it is possible to add it by site configuration.
Full copy of a directory of a production 3MX (Please copy the directory correctly) « Productionx » and all files and directories on a website allow sharing.
Here is a result: http://local.becad.be/Production 1/App
- It is also possible to share information via ContextShare which is currently essentially interesting if the customer owns Bentley products himself.
